| damage to the compressor wheel or turbine wheel, they can be rebuilt. I would strongly recommend going to a gapless turbine race seal rather than the conventional piston ring style seal - stock housings aren't so well designed to keep oil away from the turbine shaft seal and the gapless turbine seals work incredibly well to control oil. I've been using that similar setup on my personal Z for 77K miles now and have never had a smoking issue. It would also be a good idea to get the cartridge that uses the wider journal bearings as well. Stock cartridges use narrow journals and the bearings tend to wear out quickly when using larger rotating bits and the cartridges aren't terribly expensive. Give Charlie Brown at EverGreenTurbo a call - I've had him do a lot of turbo rebuilds for me and the guy is great at what he does. [ http://evergreenturbo.com/ ]
